The Budweiser Mets Wear Pinstripes

On my recent trip to Citi Field I took two photos that made me happy.

The first, and this is nothing new, is that I love that the MTA calls the subway stop “Mets” and not Corporate Name Field.

That will save a lot of money should we wind up with one of those stadiums like Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphins/Dolphin/Land Shark Stadium.

I also enjoyed this ad because Budweiser chooses to show the Mets wearing pinstripes.   Sure the blue hat is a little funky, but at least it’s not a black jersey.

  1. If you look in the MLB style guide, tbe blue cap and pinstripe uniform remain, and have always been, the Mets' "primary" home uniform. The snow whites and blacks are alternates. You wouldn't know that by how often they're worn, though.
