A Must Watch Video Of New York Mets Executive David Howard On Fox Business Regarding Madoff Rumors

My favorite Mets executive David Howard was on FBN last night. Mr. Howard maintains the Mets will not be for sale.  Click here for the video: Madoff Strikes the Mets?

Jim Duquette also appears in the video.

I don’t know what’s true or not, but to my eyes where there is smoke there is often fire, and the Mets seem testy about this one.

New topic:  Is Richard Sandomir in the Times an unofficial Mets mouthpiece?  Maybe it’s the randomness of my google searches, but it caught my eye that he was the one who had the “NOT for sale” story and now he’s the one with the semi-official spin on the training camp moving.

Once again, we’re talking about everything about winning baseball.  In the Bronx the conversation is playoff tickets.  We’re arguing over sales and training camps.

  1. Yep, it seems the Metsies are trying something new in their public relations war – defense! And yes, they're using Sandomir of the paper of record to do it. Someone has some common sense to leak it so they don't get caught up in the softball journalism and marketing agreement the Mets have with the Daily News and their clownish writers Rubin and Raissman – and they'd never leak it to the Post, which has institutional ties [Howard Rubinstein PR firm] to the Yankees.

  2. Dave Howard needs to come out from behind his obstructed view seats and level with the fans. I really haven't believed many words from the Mets in the past year. The Wilpons can deny it all they want, but until they can show otherwise, people will tend to believe that the team lost money and is having problems.
