Does Chip Caray Have Bad Seats?

I'm going to join the chorus of people who find Chip Caray to be awful.

I think he still isn't sure if Teixeira's ball went out. He calls
things "fly ball" when other announcers would say "blooped."

On the radio side, early in the game Sterling and Suzyn were saying
how new Yankee was as loud as the old one. The beat reporters were
tweeting that it was quiet. Mr. Sunshine my Yankees friend said it
was loud for game 1 but he's trying really hard to pretend he likes
the place.

  1. Living in what MLB considers the Braves' "territory," I am forced to watch all Mets-Braves games on the Braves affiliate o' the night (either TBS, SportSouth, or the Peachtree Network), and it makes me want to jab a knitting needle into my ears every time. Sometimes, I'll actually watch large portions of the the game on the DirecTV Mix Channel's 1/8-sized screen instead if it is showing the SNY feed.

Braves' announcers in general dramatize every play the team makes (a pop-up is a "deep drive," a runner beat by a step and a half is a "close play"), and apparently Cary offers that courtesy to every team in the playoffs.
