Most Popular Articles On Mets Police (November 8)

Well I’m back from vacation, did anything happen in New York baseball while I was away?

Let’s take a look at the most popular articles from the week, and I’ll catch up on comments in a little while:

New York City had a tickertape parade…no not that one…the one for the Mets in 1986, and Dan posted his pictures (nice job scanning them, or did you own a digital camera in ’86?).   Seems like a long long long time ago, doesn’t it Fred?  Fred?

This next one is funny….it got totally ignored when I posted it, then since the Yankees won a World Series suddenly I’m getting traction:  I think the Mission For The 2010’s should be Three World Championships.  Not meaningful games in September, or a wild card, nor a division nor a pennant.   Rings.  On Wright’s fingers.   Nothing less.  Three.   Lets go Omar…you called Lackey yet?

Does Citi Field make you feel less connected to the Mets than Shea did, or am I just in a mood?

Is Matsui the new Ray Knight?

Are the Yankees the team of the 00’s?

Should I take my kid to Giants Stadium?

People are still digging my call for Uniform Unanimity…and commenting.

Look at this picture I took in the Yankees store and how it disses Mets fans.
The Mercury Mets were eliminated from Uniwatch’s worst uniform ever contest (lost out to the White Sox shorts as I feared….but you can still hate on the Merc’s here.)   See the finalists in the contest here.
Speaking of uniforms…have you seen the uniform survey the Mets sent out earlier this year?   Part one and part two.
Speaking of surveys….the Mets did a sponsorship survey and wanted to know a lot about our banking preferences…part one and part two.  Here’s what a Phillies survey looks like.
Been looking at alternate Mets caps.  Part 1234567891011121314151617, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23.  I’ll post Day 24 tonight.
This was way way way too cool not to share….this Invaders jersey is awesome.  Do the right thing and visit Uni Watch Blog to give them the hits they deserve for posting this one.

Gonna go watch some football.  I think the Bucs look good in the retro-orange.
