I think I will have some very cool Blue Cap Army news soon.  I’m in conversation with a new friend.  Stay tuned, and if you haven’t already – Sign up here.

This was a good discussion…a letter came in wondering how we (me and you I guess) could be big Mets fans when all we do is complain.  My response, and then a guest column from Adam.

I dig the 1976 Pillbox cap! I hate the Los Mets jerseys, but the Knicks know how to do it right.

The mainstream media caught on to the obstructed views at Citi Field:  Times, NBC, Post

You’d think of all people I would know better but I was shocked at Mets ticket prices when I tried to get 4 for the opener.  $860!

The C fell of the Citi Field sign.

I like the idea of Rusty Staub jerseys in blue.

Other stuff:

I get a kick out of my Yankees friend.

Lupica wrote about Jose Reyes…a little bit about thyroids and a little bit about Rollins which tends to make people sad.  Mike and I might get along.

Over on Shannon’s Other Blog – that’s where I tend to link to non-Mets stuff of interest – would you pay $5 more to sit in the shade?

Here’s some pictures of Yankee Stadium’s demolition. It’s too bad there’s no way to partially gut a stadium and make it newer.

Older items:

From a 2009 videogame, Citi Field with blue walls.

Here’s the info for Single Game Tickets and Promotional Dates

Luis Castillo’s baseball card is pretty funny.

The Mets have quietly admitted there are obstructed views, a story now picked up by the Times, NBC, and Post.  Dave Howard, where’s my apology?

The Cyclones have a great jersey promotion for Wally Backman.

People liked my gift idea for Fred Wilpon

Fun stuff: Afterlife Shea Stadium was the home of the Puppy Bowl and Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel and now the home of the New Orleans Saints

This regularly gets clicked: It might make financial sense, but it sure is annoying to think Bobby Bonilla will get $1 million a year from the Mets from 2011-2035.
