K-Rod May Have Been Arrested After Game for Assault

By:Media Goon

K-Rod May  have been arrested tonight after game.

This is what SNY is reporting. Frankie Rodriguez got mad at reporters and told them to get out of his way after the game when they wanted to ask him questions.

K-Rod was supposedly in an altercation with his father-in-law, who was taken away in ambulance after the game.K-Rod had to be escorted out of the family lounge at Citi Field. Rodriquez was questioned by police about the incident.

They are reporting two different things. One is that he is just in custody. And, Two that he might have been arrested.

I don’t have all the details and I won’t speculate anything that happened. This is just a crazy situation. It just seems like this season is spiraling more and more out of control.

* NEWSDAY is reporting that Rodriguez is going to be charged with third degree assault*

And this is from ESPN NEW YORK

  1. What the heck is going on in this organization? Johan being sued for sexual misconduct. KRod beating up his family… The list goes on and on…

    come on guys… Grow up

  2. He is under for Assault 3 which is a misdemeanor. However, since it is against a member of his family, he has to go through the system instead of receiving a desk appearance ticket, which the department generally does in high profile arrests. So it’s safe to say the bullpen is going to be a man down this afternoon.

    1. Vince Coleman firecrack saga was my lowest point of being a met fan. Another Sad day for Met fans.

  3. I really am feeling like this is the early 90’s again. All we need is Ollie perez to pull a cone in the bullpen.

  4. Another story where Mets and police are a big part of it.
Freddie, Jeffie and Omar have such a great cast of characters out there, eh?

  5. To be brutally honest, at this point, I welcome as much chaos–sweet, sweet, chaos–as possible. Management is pitifully hard-headed, and if it takes an early-90s-level explosion of embarrassment to finally get them off their behinds and clean house, I’m all for it.

I’d much rather a franchise saying, “we’re rebuilding right now, so don’t expect much” to one that has no clue as to its own sorry state. Whatever it takes to reach the tipping point is fine with me.
