Good morning Mets fans,
Last winter I had lots of fun posting all the images of Afterlife Shea Stadium…if I recall it was the home of the Saints and the home of the Puppy Bowl.
For 2010 it is the home of Yahoo NFL Football…and you know Yahoo is paying attention to sports when they pick an image of a stadium that hasn’t been used for football in 25 years….oh and its gone. And it clearly has a baseball diamond in the middle.
I hope this doesn’t cost me a link on Big League Stew.
I guess in death Shea lost the ability to reconfigure for football. You kids may not know that the field level seats moved!
Ok Yahoo I apologize for the baseball diamond dig. It’s September so maybe Afterlife Shea is hosting Mets Ghosts and making the Dead Jets play on the road. I’m sure the stager image will change in October.

For a supposedly “ugly” stadium, it sure does get a lot of ad time. Long live Shea!
Shea was also the background for countless baseball cards in the 70’s…I guess Topps waited till teams came to NY to take pictures.
