3 Replies to “Lee Mazzilli’s Mets uniform looks good here”

  1. Since I do not see pinstripes on this uniform, I am under the presumption that this is a road uniform worn by the Mets from 1978-81. A couple of things I dislike about that uniform:
    1. Only two buttons makes it look like beer league softball jersey. Should have the full button-down.
    2. I prefer Mets road uniforms to say “New York” across the chest (ideally, in the same style as the Mets had from 1962-73 and 1995-Present; I have no problem with black in the lettering since it should have been an original color anyhow). If you’re stuck as to what the team name is, it is on the patch located on the left sleeve.

  2. Those 78-81 (road) and 78-82 (home) uniforms weren’t as bad as they could have been. At least they still wore belts and not those ridiculous elastic waistband pants. Those looked terrible.
