D’Alessandro with the stupidest article of the day

OH MY GOODNESS IT HAS BEEN 7 GAMES.  Already writing about Terry Collins?

Never mind that he’s a mere stopgap.”

What?  Are we really looking forward to the next manager after SEVEN GAMES?

The second oddest thing about it was, it already feels like he’s running out of chances to leave a positive impression.

Wow.  I don’t even know what to say.  This has to be a new record for “the mainstream media.”   Y’all can read whatever you want, but I’m starting to wonder if we shouldn’t all spend our time reading reasonable opinions on the intertubes rather than sensational headline attempts like the below.  Boy have things changed.

Stupidest article of the day, but Andy Martino’s calling us racists is going to be tough to beat for stupidest of the year.  He may have locked up the Mazzilli Award already.

The 1986 Mets are 2-3.  Davey must go.

  1. For once this site has an article worth reading….Your right D’allesandro’s article is ridiculous…

  2. D’allesandro might be trying to get a job with the bleacher report, you didn’t think of that, did you?

    1. Is Bleacher Report considered the bottom? I did see they fell for Randy’s BJ Club fake article…but then an editor apologized for the mistake

  3. I think what he is talking about is “The Honeymoon” period is over!

He is a stop gap manager and everyone knows that from the get go!

Why did they only give him a 2 year contract?

  4. Of course, in my mind the honeymoon might end sooner than I thought, if I am going to see this strict platoon crap behind the plate…saw tonight’s lineup, and either Josh Thole is your number one catcher or he is not, and if he is going to be platooned (a dumb idea) then say so.

  5. Well, lookie, lookie, asked, and received…according to the blog endorsed by the Mets’ TV network, Thole is headed for a strict platoon, when Paulino is finally ready. Dumb…honest, but dumb.

  6. I’m left to wonder if this column was specifically written with the intent of getting people to go, “Did you see this $#!+?” and providing a link. The entire premise that it’s the manager’s fault that a team projected to finish dead last is on a short leash because said team is a game under .500 is beyond ridiculous.
