In the article, Carlos Beltran isn’t named as a defendant in a lawsuit against the restaurant he co-owns. It is just getting ridiculous with all the business dealings that are connected to Flushing. I know it isn’t as crazy as the bigger things going but its just like someone cursed the Mets(and Owners and Players) and anything they do with finances.
Sofrito, a high-end midtown Puerto Rican eatery co-owned by the Mets slugger, owes back pay and penalties to waiters, busboys, bartenders and others, court papers charge.
“This lawsuit seeks to recover minimum wages, overtime compensation, misappropriated tips, unlawful deductions” and other pay, says the suit, filed in Manhattan Federal Court.
