I think the way to discourage the Mets from performing w the black unis is to point out that, from a competitive standpoint, hitters should have an easier time picking up a baseball against a black background.
Trying to present any other argument merely falls on deaf ears.
How about the fact that blacks holds more heat in the summer?
There’s no doubt about that, but then they could turn around and say they’re better in cold weather.
You can’t talk about the team heritage because they’ve already discounted that.
I think the only persuasive argument is that it puts their pitchers in a deficit.
Not at all surprised considering he was already 30 years old when the Black Plague hit. That’s what a Mets cap looks like to anyone born after 1985 or so.
