That’s because of all the free tickets they gave away. Anyone with a ticket for the 5/18 game could have exchanged it for today. Anyone with a ticket for the 4/19 game could have also exchanged it for any game in the Pirates series. This still should have been a day game.
I went to a small shopping center today and it was dead…also a friend is selling a house and there is NO traffic.
The economy is really bad right now…the media has yet to pick up on it.
Better to give away seats & get the money for concessions than play to an empty park.
