Mets posts you missed while celebrating Independence

I spent much of yesterday working on 80’s week!

What’s that you ask?

Well…since the All Star Break tends to result in a lack of news, and I like to travel, it’s a good time for some generic yet themed posts. Next week (in between the topical news items) will be 80’s week, a collection of articles, videos, and randomness all about the 1980-89 Mets. There are even contributions from other bloggers (let me know if you have an old post you don’t mind me borrowing). That all starts Monday and there are like 7 posts per day through Saturday.

Meanwhile, while you were in the Hamptons shooting off fireworks you missed the following:

My favorite – overanalyzing the Istanbul ad

Justin Turner chatted on twitter with some Mets fans

I reran an interview with the author of the Mets Illustrated History. Good stuff

Another rerun, but one of my favorites, the Hall of Famers that Ralph Kiner dated!

Howie Rose’s daughter will be on One Life To Live tomorrow

I’m not the only one unhappy with AT&T’s service at Citi Field

The June 2011 Uni Tracker

Lots of you read the site in the first 6 months of 2011
