Wright likes the blue Mets jerseys

From Cerrone…a longer than usual excerpt, I’ll buy lunch Matt.

In fact, earlier this week, I talked to David Wright and he agreed, saying he and his teammates thought the orange on blue (no black) color scheme was awesome – especially if they all wear blue spikes, he added.

By the way, the blue jersey was designed by the team’s equipment manager, Kevin Kierst, who says he also hopes the organization agrees to use them more often in the future.

From what I could gather talking to people around the ballpark, there is a chance they were them again, though with the ‘Los,’ at some point later this season; and they’re ‘considering’ whether to use them with just Mets at times next season. I hope they do it.

  1. There is no question the Mets will decide to add this alternate uniform …. all it does is create additional opportunity for more “authentic jersey” sales revenue ….

    1. And they’d be right. That and a shadowless pinstripe are the only conditions under which I’d consider buying an new authentic.
