October Summer rerun: How I Met The Mets 1986

Good morning Mets fans – it is one of the quietest mornings in Metsland I can recall…I don’t feel like writing about the non-story that is Reyes to the Brewers…(Quote: I think there’s a better chance Reyes joins Mets Police than re-signs with the Mets)…. it’s a nice warm sunny October Summer Sunday….so rather than waste stuff that won’t get read anyway ebcause nobody is around….here’s a rerun.

For you newbies, How I Met The Mets is my take on what I feel SNY shou;d use as filler programming. There are several episodes, but here’s my take on 1986.  Enjoy!

  1. The playoffs are no longer interesting with the Yankees and Phillies eliminated. Can’t root for Brewers after Nyjer Morgan’s disgusting exhibition…don’t want to watch a WS and see Nolan Ryan every five minutes…Leyland is funny…that leaves Detroit vs. Cardinals…that would be a rematch of 1968 series, so next year would be like 1969, right?

Made me smile though to hear Yankee fans call into WFAN and complain that they are sick of the Yankees playoff disappointments. The day the Mets are better than the Yankees, we will own NY again like in How I Met The Mets:1986.
