  1. Inter-league play has killed off the Mayor’s Trophy Game for good…as Bob Murphy would say, it was for the benefit of Sandlot Baseball.

  2. Using the government’s handy-dandy inflation calculator, that $8 ticket from 1983 should cost $18.19 in 2011… somehow, I think the Mets would be asking a bit more, even for an exhibition game. 🙂

  3. Well I guess the 18.19 price is about right, maybe a little low. They have not announced ticket prices for the Mets vs. Yankees sping training game yet.

But with them RAISING SPRING TRAINING PRICES THIS YEAR, here is what they are getting for the other Spring Training Games.

Premium Box $25 (Not sure this is right)
Field Level Terrace (Down by Mets Bullpen) $20
    Lower Box Seats $20
Upper Reserved (Above mid walkway) $15

I am sure they will totally jack the ticket prices up for Yankee Game, but if I recall when they played the Red Sox last year I paid $25.00 for an upper reserved seat!

I am going to guess that a box seat will cost $30 for the Mets/Yanks game on 4/3.
