Terence, inventor of my new favorite blog game, has sent over another round of What’s Wrong With This Mets Jersey?
The Straw-Man never wore that style of jersey (’95-’98). I do not believe he ever wore a button down jersey while with the Mets
No NY on the Mets shoulder patch, which was still on the patch when the Straw man played for the Mets
A) Straw never wore that, and B) his name was never arched like that.
I forgot about the NY missing on the patch. Also, i believe Rawlings made the jerseys he played in.
Apart from the fact that Strawberry never wore that jersey (1995-97), there’s no number on the front, the number and NNOB on the back are the wrong font, the lettering is too thick and arched in a way the Mets have never worn. Also (and it’s hard to tell), the medallion on the sleeve should have the little “NY” on the left side of the skyline (assuming this is meant to be the 1995-97 jersey, not the 2013 jersey).
