Mets 50th Anniversary Signing – Caps and Other Items

There was obviously a lot to see when you get a few hundred Mets fans together.  A few more pictures of random things, including 2 cap sightings:

I ran into Pete – owner of the wonderfully hideous Piazza Mercury Mets jersey.  He was there with his family and what does the son of a Mercury Mets jersey owner wear?  Why not a classic Mets pillbox cap!

While waiting to meet Mr. Seaver the guy behind me had this cap ready to be signed

Speaking of Seaver, it was a little weird to me waiting to meet him while one of the monitors was showing the press conference when he was traded

Lastly I just have to throw this in – those patches look so good

  1. Pete’s son is completely stylin’! Those new patches do look great. I may have to pick up a pinstripe… question is, who’s name on the back?

  2. Thanks Dan! I will definitely have to don the Mercury jersey at a game this upcoming season. It might be the only thing worth seeing at Citi Field this year (other than Banner Day of course).
