Pro Baseball team searching for Musicians

On Craigslist and via the Cyclones Twitter account

This upcoming 2012 baseball season the Brooklyn Cyclones, minor-league affiliate of the New York Mets, are rolling out their all new FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC SERIES at MCU Park! Our picnic area located at the concourse level, as well as our new bar/lounge located in our gallery, will be the two new hot spots every Friday evening for fans to enjoy live music! If you’re passionate about playing and have a flare for entertaining large crowds (we average 7,000 fans per game), than we’re searching for you to be a part of this exciting baseball & music mash up!

Casting: Two live musical acts per Friday evening to play/sing popular cover songs (all genres welcomed: rock, jazz, doo-wop, hip hop, Latin, etc.)

Dates: June 29th, July 6th, July 20th, Aug. 3rd, Aug. 10th, & Aug. 31st (you will perform on 1 of these evenings)

Times: 5:30pm — 7:30pm

*EVERYONE PERFORMING MUST BE OVER THE AGE of 18

We’re searching for intimate set-ups of 1 to 3 performers (for example, a solo artist that plays the keyboard & sings, two acoustic guitarists that play & sing, a three-part vocal group, or a small rock or jazz set-up that just jams out acoustically). Please send video links of live performances to the email above. In the subject of your email put FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC SERIES. Please enclose a performance bio and contact information.

Compensation: Stipend for performers, PA announcement, tabling to sell your music after 7:30pm, food & drink, and 2 free tickets per group member for your guests that night to the game

Submit now as slots are booking quickly for this unique opportunity to showcase your skill in-front of a large baseball stadium crowd!

  1. I think “A flare for entertaining” should be reserved for Pyrotechnics Night.  Do they mean “flair”?  Who wrote this, Jeff Wilpon?
