Mets wear beautiful new road jerseys, people rejoice

By popular demand, I was asked to post about the new road jerseys.  The crowd on twitter all loved them.

Yes.  Of course you do.  That’s why I harped on this for four years (and let us never forget the efforts of Paul Lukas of Uni Watch.)

Everything about this jersey looks better.  The cap, the helmet, the lettering, the numbers, the undergarments, the socks or sanitaries or whatever the proper term is (ask Paul Lukas).

Nice job by the Mets signing the Treaty of Flushing.  Thanks Dave, see you at Banner Day.

  1. You mean it wasn’t a 1997 Turn Back The Clock Game?

Those Mets were smart to torture us for 14 years…now we appreciate what we have.

  2. One wonders why they would ever have abandoned this beautiful uniform. The mind boggles…

    1. Because black uniforms were selling and they went for short term cash and trendy rather than long term brand. But that’s the past. Just wear this for the next 100 years.

  3. These uniforms look great and they really pop on TV. I was watching the game for 2 innings thinking “wow this looks great, must be better cameras or something” before making the connection with the classic uniforms. Just keep wearing the classic road grays and the pinstripes at home.

  4. I eagerly anticipated the first road game last night, then when they came on I dam near wept, that my friends is what the Mets are supposed to look like.

  5. I am not saying this just because i’m a big mets fan, but holy wafers.these to me are the best road uni’s in the majors..and home pins arent too shabby either.
