WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?
The New York Mets today announced the team placed outfielder Jason Bay on the 15-Day Disabled List with a nondisplaced fracture of a rib on the left side and recalled infielder Zach Lutz from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.
and while I don’t have the official release yet I see Pelfrey is also on the DL.
Wow. I don’t know what to say.

I had been hoping that before Pete Flynn retired as groundskeeper, he would manage to find the blasted injury gnome who has been plaguing this team for the past several seasons. I picture an epic battle akin to Bill Murray vs. the gopher in Caddyshack. Alas, it appears the injury gnome is here to stay.
