There’s something happening at Citi Field

Last night was everything I had hoped for (and blogged about).  A great hang, a solid game.

For the first time since I think Opening Day 2009 I had to wait on line for a urinal.  For the first time since like 1988 there were other people walking from Citi Field to Corona after the game.  For the first time since Opening Day 2012 we had to sit in our actual seats rather than spread out across an empty road.  There were actual people at Citi Field.

The atmosphere is positive and if you’re this guy, looks like you picked the wrong off-season to stop rooting for the Mets.

The Post is writing frontrunner stories about how amazing Santana and Dickey are.  I bet they’d be just as quick to write about how stupid the Wilpons were for trusting their season to a journeyman knuckler and a guy with a rebuilt shoulder.

Not much talk about how the bankrupt stupid Mets will be trading David Wright in June.  Seems the mainstream has learned about the club option for 2013.  Wait until they hear about Dickey’s!

I’m loving this season, but I loved last season too.

  1. Love the lyric at the end. I’m also pretty sure I’ve had to wait on line in the restroom more than just the ballpark opener, but I get your point.
