FIRST RESPONDER HATS: In a tradition that started after the attacks of September 11, the New York Mets will honor New York City First Responders by wearing hats from the city agencies during batting practice and the National Anthem prior to tomorrow night’s game against the Washington Nationals at Citi Field…The hats will be autographed and auctioned off at Mets.com/gameused with proceeds distributed by the Mets Foundation to 9/11 related organizations…The auction will be live by Wednesday at 2 p.m. and run through Sunday, September 23 at 8 p.m.
