I’m excited about the MetsBlog podcast. Here’s why.

I’m really excited about the daily MetsBlog podcast. Here’s why.

It’s done by Mets fans.

Just about every other daily source of Mets information feels like it comes for someone with an axe to grind. The beat reporters seem endlessly gesture. The guy on the one sports station is the Yankees announcer and the other guy…the less I say the better. With the exception of Evan Roberts it seems like sports talk is useless in this town if you are a Mets fan.

So subscribe to the MetsBlog podcast. Get the snazzy podcast app on your phone and type in MetsBlog and subscribe. Then, when you’re in the mood for Mets tally, you can hear Mets talk. No stupid football talk. No useless updates. No 85 commercial breaks. Mets talk in and out.

Yes there are other podcasts out there, most of them weekly. None have cut through for me. Sorry.

This is the part where someone writes some sort of sentence with the words Cerrone payroll and Wilpons. I’m telling you, Matt does not have an agenda. I’ve spent time with the guy. He’s very level headed and even if he didn’t have a blog it’s not his style to be a gunslinger.

I also shared a game with Brian last summer – same story, he’s just a Mets fan.

If you want some podcast that’s all about how the Wilpons are evil masterminds who ran the biggest financial conspiracy of the century while simultaneously being unable to field a roster – well there are plenty of those if you look. I’m excited for this one.
