The Happiest Recap plus beer…could be fun

As many of you know I wish I could write like Greg Prince.  I can’t.  But I do want to tell you about his book.  Thus, as I often do, I will just steal his words.

Shannon,

On Saturday, December 15, from noon to 2 PM, I’m having a little baseball-themed get-together at Foley’s NYC (18 W. 33rd St., between Fifth and Sixth) to celebrate the launch of my Banner Day Press book series, The Happiest Recap, which tells the story of the Mets’ first 50 years through the prism of 500 Amazin’ wins. Volume I — First Base: 1962-1973 — is out now and we’ll have copies on hand for purchase and signing, if so desired. We’ll also have something to nosh on and a special on $3 Bud Lights, courtesy of Foley’s. (The event doubles as a grudging acknowledgement of the author’s upcoming 50th birthday, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there will also be cake of some kind.)

The Happiest Recap really will make one of the best holiday presents imaginable for the Mets fan in anyone’s life. Mets history has never been told this quite way before and, per Bob Murphy, I truly believe it will make a beautiful additon to anyone’s baseball library.

I won’t be able to make it but I hope you guys do…or at least pick up the book on Amazon.
