Mets Ask Fans to Vote on Banner Day Date

Good job by the Mets on this one.  Less than 2 weeks after ESPN announced that the Mets game on May 26th – which had been scheduled as Banner Day by the team – would be an 8 pm start, the Mets today asked fans to vote for which day & game they would like to see Banner Day scheduled:

“Some of you are very passionate about having Banner Day on a day game. Others feel because Monday, May 27 is the Memorial Day Holiday, the original date still works.

We’d like to hear from more of our fans to help decide which date is best. Vote for when Banner Day should take place.”

Among the 3 dates offered is the original date of May 26th vs. the Braves (8 pm start), as well as two Saturday 1 pm games:  May 11th vs. Pittsburgh (a Classic Game) and June 8th vs. Miami (a Premium Game).

  1. Opening Day is almost upon us and I was wondering how things were going with getting our 2 World Series MVPS their proper recognition in the Mets Museum. It would be nice to have this done especially because the all-star game is here this year and the museum should be complete. If you need any help or there is anything I can do, please let me know. I’m leaving this matter in your good hands. Thanks.
