Best photo you will see all day: Mets’ Kranepool, Al Jackson, Johnny Lewis in basketball uniforms

Paul Lukas from Uni Watch sent this over….

Al Baumgarten’s Major League All-Stars were an exhibition basketball team made up of MLB players. My reader obtained the photo while attending one of their games in the winter of 1967 or ’68 at Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ. It was a charity game against a local squad.

Pictured, from left to right: Al Jackson (Mets), Dennis Ribant (Tigers) Ed Kranepool, Al Downing, Art Baumgarten, Jim Bouton, Joe Torre, and Johnny Lewis (Mets).
