The Mets Police’s Newest Advertiser

Hey there guys. I want to welcome aboard our new advertiser The East End Tavern located at 1589 1st Ave., between 82nd & 83rd St. I was contacted by Sean(one of the owners) that they would like to have an ad space with us and wanted to know if I could stop by and talk with him. So I checked in with Mr Shark ( who said cool, since he likes $$) and went on my merry way.

When I got to the bar I was happy to see a Mets flag hanging out front. Encouraging I thought. I go in and order a pint of cider just to get a vibe of the place and it was a cool METS sports bar. Yep, a Mets sports bar. Now they will play other games on the their tv’s but there is always A Mets game on when they are playing unlike in some other bars. I introduced myself to Sean after a few minutes and started talking Mets baseball. I was sold that they would be a good fit. After our chat I walked out and told Sean I would be back next week to take some pics of the bar so our readers can check it out. I went back last night and Sean had no idea I was coming. This is what I found at the bar…

Yep, Sean wearing a Mets shirt. I started laughing when I saw this. Didn’t even think about planning something like this.

Another angle of the booths to show off the memorabilia. They do have Mets stuff  but due to the installation of a new kitchen(that will be ready in a few weeks. When it opens I’ll let you guys know) they don’t have it all displayed.

Hopefully this gives you guys a good look into The East End Tavern. If you live in the UES or are just near there, go in and enjoy a game and a drink. If you see Sean let him know you found out about the bar from Metspolice(as a favor to us). Thanks for reading this guys and now back to our regularly scheduled stuff.
