Mets to wear tasteless caps today

@Mets let me ask you this.  Why don’t you try this for other heritage nights?

Go ahead.  Let’s try something like this to honor those of Chinese ancestry, or Mexcian ancestry, or Jewish ancestry or Native American ancestry.  Go ahead and dress Mr. Met up with fun holiday related imagery for people of all backgrounds.  Do it.

Seriously @mets, ask yourself if you’ll do any of those other caps. And if you won’t, why not? This is all fun, right?

  4. So, we’re going to spend another year whining about an imaginary being (Mr Met) being made up to look like a mythical creature (Leprechaun) as somehow being ethnically insensitive?

No, it’s not the same as slanty eyes, of Chief Wahoo….Leprechauns don’t exist, they are not a “race”.

  5. Mediagoon that makes sense. Either way that’s not that bad. Whoever is looking at it.

  6. Another case of the Mets trading a player (Justin Turner) before his promotional giveaway day.

  7. Another case of the Mets getting rid of a player (Justin Turner) before his promotional giveaway day.

  8. I never knew the Leprechaun was derogatory to Irish people. It’s folklore. I guess you learn something new every day.
