Will the Mets bloggers sell out for the new Meatball Sliders at Citi Field?

Hypnotoad[1]

A few years ago the bloggers were accused of selling out because they (we) went to Citi Field and were treated to (half) a steak sandwich.

Mets Police is a capitalist endeavor with no integrity.  We will sell out in a heartbeat.  Just offer some tickets and a hero and I’m there.

METS AND PAT LaFRIEDA MEAT PURVEYORS

EXPAND PARTNERSHIP AT CITI FIELD FOR 2014

Pat LaFrieda Becomes Official Burger of the Mets,

New Pat LaFrieda Signature Meatball Slider Stand Added to Field Level

FLUSHING, N.Y., March 26, 2014 – The New York Mets today announced an expansion of the club’s partnership with Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors at Citi Field for the 2014 season.

LaFrieda Meats will become the Official Burger of the Mets, and LaFrieda’s original burger blend will be used exclusively at all Citi Field restaurants, clubs and concession stands that serve burgers.

In addition, a new concession stand serving Pat LaFrieda’s Signature Meatball Sliders will open on the Field Level by Section 139 adjacent to the existing Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich stands. A trio of Grandpa LaFrieda’s all beef meatball sliders in traditional, homemade tomato sauce, topped with whipped ricotta cheese, on locally baked, toasted rolls will be available for $12.00.

“We’re so excited to add to the fantastic dining amenities at Citi Field and expand on our partnership with the Mets,” said Pat LaFrieda. “It’s our pleasure to be able to bring these new options to the fans at Citi Field.”

These offerings are in addition to the current Pat LaFrieda dining establishments at Citi Field:

The Pat LaFrieda Chop House inside the Delta Sky360° Club on the Sterling Level offers both sit-down dining and a bar menu. The menu features a blend of light fare, steaks and sandwiches showcasing three LaFrieda family recipes – the Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich, Pat’s grandfather’s custom blend sweet Italian sausage and peppers, and new for 2014, a pork milanese recipe that has been passed down for generations. There is also an exclusive LaFrieda custom burger blend, the “Citi Field Amazin’ Burger,” a hand-pressed 10 ounce black angus blend of boneless short rib and beef belly topped with crispy onion rings, red wine gastrique compressed tomato, garlic-dill pickles and American cheese served on a brioche bun.  A shortened version of the Chop House menu is available at the bar adjacent to the restaurant.

The Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich stand located on the Field Level by Section 139 and in the Promenade Food Court is inspired by a family recipe, and features reserve 100% black angus, hand-cut beef, Vermont Monterey jack cheese, sautéed sweet Vidalia onions and beef au jus on a locally baked and toasted French baguette.
