Yankees logo on the old Shea video box

Wow this threw me. I’m watching Keith Olbermann on the DVR and he showed this! (presumably from 1975)

Weird. I wonder how hard or easy it was to swap that out when the Mets came home.

  1. The mets logo covering the video screen would open and close (roll-up) like a garage door

The Yankees logo was on a large canvas that covered the defunct video screen.

Before games (well before gates were opened) the “door” that the Mets logo was painted on was opened and after games (sometimes just 15 minutes after a game was over) it was closed and the Mets logo was back.

The Yankees logo was on the board for all Yankee games in 74 & 75.  The Jets started to do this also after the Yankees left.
