There isn’t a met fan alive who didn’t want this to go to open court and have all of this information about Jeff’s treatment of this woman out there.
I wouldn’t doubt that MLB got involved and put the screw to Fred and Jeff to pay extra to make this go away. If i had the money i would have paid her to hang in there and wait this out. This was a glimmer of hope to maybe get so much public pressure and embarrassment on the Wilpon’s that they’d sell. Lost opportunity.
