Why buy a ticket plan when the Mets are gonna 3 for $33 (actually $44.25) like they just did

As I said all winter, I felt there was no reason to buy a ticket plan because I found myself being undercut regularly by ticket specials.  I even predicted the 3 for 33.  Here it is.

Now…should the Mets try to fill the park?  Of course.  So 3 for 33 is smart.  But you don’t want to chase the 1 for 25 guy in the uppers.

My proposed solution – offer the 1 for 25 guy some sort of credit toward merch, food or 2016 tickets.

My old ticket rep used to remind me I could trade in my seats and do a 3 for 33 type, but that didn’t help me.  There just weren’t that many games that fit into my schedule.  So I paid $35 for a Saturday, you went 2 for 28 or whatever and now I don’t have a plan.  Seems solvable.

Enjoy…

Oh and it’s actually 3 for $44.25

  1. I bet you are the same type of person that buys an item one week, see’s it on sale in circular 2 weeks later then tries to return and repurchase. These promotions are aimed at getting middle class families at the games not “undercutting” those with the disposable income to buy large amounts of tickets in advance of the season.
