NEW SCOREBOARD, EXCLUSIVE NEW FOOD OFFERINGS AND WEEKEND PROMOTIONS HIGHLIGHT WHAT’S NEW AT CITI FIELD IN 2015

FLUSHING, N.Y., April 1, 2015 – The New York Mets today unveiled a number of new elements during a “What’s New at Citi Field for 2015” media event. Included was the first showing of the 62% larger high-definition centerfield video board and new exclusive food offerings with new and returning chef partners that highlight Citi Field’s all-star dining lineup.

HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO BOARD
A new Daktronics high definition centerfield video board will highlight the fans’ visual experience and is 62% larger than the original screen. The board measures 5,670 square feet (up from 3,500 square feet) and is 54 feet high by 105 feet wide. Two other ribbon display LED boards will also debut in 2015 including a 234 foot wide board along the left field fascia and a 49 foot wide “K-Board” in the left field corner.

FREE SHIRT FRIDAYS
2015 will also feature the return of the popular Free Shirt Fridays beginning on Friday, April 17 vs. the Miami Marlins with a Matt Harvey designed shirt, which he played a role in the design and is presented by Old Dominion Freight Line. Free Shirt Fridays are always for all fans in attendance.

SATURDAY POST-GAME CONCERTS
This season’s postgame concerts include legendary rock artists Steve Miller Band on Saturday, June 27 following the 4:10 p.m. game vs. the Cincinnati Reds, Heart on Saturday, July 25 following the 7:10 p.m. game vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers and R & B legend NE-YO on August 15 following the 7:10 p.m. game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates.

SATURDAY FIREWORKS
Fireworks follow the April 18 game vs. the Miami Marlins at 7:10 p.m. and September 19 game vs. the New York Yankees at 7:10 p.m.

FAMILY SUNDAYS
Family Sundays will feature kids inflatables, face painters and balloon artists on the Mets Plaza before the game to entertain families. Giveaways presented to the first 15,000 fans, and the Mr. Met Dash, where kids 12 and under can run the bases after the game.

CITI FIELD DINING
The event included an exclusive tasting experience of the best culinary talent and menu offering at Citi Field for the 2015 season. The menu included two new partners: Renowned Chef Josh Capon and Rao’s Speciality Foods, Inc. along with new offerings from Shake Shack, Blue Smoke On The Road, El Verano Taqueria & Box Frites (Danny Meyer/Union Square Events), Acela Club (Drew Nieporant/Myriad Restaurant Group), Pat LaFrieda, Catch of the Day (Chef Dave Pasternack), Two Boots Pizza, and many more.

METS HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM – New Highlights include the addition of Jacob deGrom’s Rookie of the Year Award and Juan Lagares’ Gold Glove Award. In addition, there are over 50 new artifacts reflecting individual achievements and team milestones.

OTHER PROMOTIONS

There will be four special giveaways in 2015, each for the first 15,000 fans in attendance on each date. The first is Saturday, May 2 which will be a Jacob DeGrom garden gnome presented by Gold’s Horseradish, followed by Saturday, May 16 which will feature a special Mets fedora courtesy of Select SPDR. The Mets will have two bobblehead giveaways, the first is Saturday, July 11 which will be a Juan Lagares bobblehead presented by GEICO, and the second is Saturday, August 29, featuring a commemorative 1986 World Championship bobblehead presented by Verizon.

Military Ticket Offer – U.S. Military personnel with active military identification may receive a complimentary ticket to Sunday-Thursday games during the 2015 regular season, excluding Opening Day on April 13, vs. the Red Sox on August 30, and vs. the New York Yankees on September 20. Offer will be available day-of-game only starting two hours prior to scheduled first pitch in the Ticket Office lobby in the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, subject to availability. Student Rush – High school and college students can purchase tickets for $10 with valid school identification for all home games of the 2015 regular season except Opening Day on April 13, the Red Sox Series on August 28-30, and the Subway Series on September 18-20, subject to availability. Mr. Met’s Kids Club – The Kids Club has two membership levels. Blue memberships are free and come with four free Sunday ticket vouchers and a Kids Club lanyard and rewards card. CITI FIELD RETAIL

Jersey Customization Station – Fans can get their customized Mets jersey at the ballpark and watch the process from start to finish. The station will be located in front of the Mets Team Store Presented by Majestic on the Field Level behind home plate.

Mrs. Met Merchandise – Items featuring the Mets’ female mascot will be available at retail locations throughout the ballpark

The 7 Line Shop – Fans can purchase exclusive The 7 Line merchandise at the shop in centerfield behind the Big Apple seats located next to Box Frites.

CITI FIELD ENTERTAINMENT

Good Humor Fan Fest – The newly renamed area on the Field Level in centerfield offers fun for the whole family with a scaled down version of Citi Field, batting cages, a dunk tank, video games and more. Good Humor Fan Fest features appearances from Mr. Met every game and is open from when the ballpark opens until the middle of the seventh inning, weather permitting.

In-Game Hosts – Alexa Datt, Christina Thompson and Branden Wellington will interact with fans, conduct trivia contests and other games as well as taking fans on virtual tours of Citi Field clubs and restaurants, and other limited access and behind the scenes areas of the ballpark.
