Zac Brown Band Adds Second Citi Field Tour Date

Citi Field has been rocking this season. As the New York Mets sit atop the National League East after the first month of the season, things are going well in Queens. The stadium will continue to rock in August when Zac Brown Band comes to town.

Touring off the release of their latest album, Jekyll + Hyde, the country-rock band will be playing two shows at Citi Field on August 21 and 22. The band was only scheduled to play on the 21, but with overwhelming demand a second show was recently added for Saturday.

If the second show follows the first, tickets won’t be cheap on the secondary market. Currently, Zac Brown Band tickets on TiqIQ have an average price of $255.27 for the August 21 show. The get-in price is listed at $66. The first Citi Field show is also the most expensive stop on the band’s current tour that runs through the middle of November. The next most expensive show comes at Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida with an average price of $232.74.

With the addition of a second show, prices for the first are likely to drop as the amount of tickets available will double. A presale for the August 22 date will start on Wednesday at noon, while the onsale for the general public will start Friday, May 8.

Citi Field will be one of four venues will multiple shows for Zac Brown Band and will be one of seven ballparks visited on the tour. The only other MLB park to hold multiple shows will be Boston’s Fenway Park. Two shows were originally scheduled, but like Citi Field, one more show was added because of high demand. The three shows from August 7-9 have a combined average price of $148.93 on the secondary market.

The Zac Brown Band concerts will come while the Mets are on the road. They will return home on August 28 to play the Boston Red Sox and kick off a six-game homestand.
