K-Rod May Have Been Arrested After Game for Assault

By:Media Goon

K-Rod May  have been arrested tonight after game.

This is what SNY is reporting. Frankie Rodriguez got mad at reporters and told them to get out of his way after the game when they wanted to ask him questions.

K-Rod was supposedly in an altercation with his father-in-law, who was taken away in ambulance after the

Challenge: name 10 third-basemen (ever) better than David Wright

Here’s some crazy talk for you….

…I was talking trash with some Braves fan and I obnoxiously said that David Wright is one of the Top 10 third basemen of all time!

Seems nuts, right?

Well let’s hear your list….you’re gonna rattle off like 4 and then have to start looking people up.  Yes I know there will

Jeter and I have an Edge, Wright rules

What’s great about blogging is that I have a forum.

First the meat: David Wright rules. Two hits, a 5 game hitting streak in All Star Games, and he is a good face for the franchise. Clean cut, charismatic, never in trouble and he showed captain like behavior on Sunday when he took Reyes

The Wright All Star jersey the Mets are giving some fans

The Mets are enjoying social media tonight….they just invited people at the game to send tehir seat location to @newyorkmets for a chance to win an autographed David Wright jersey.   Here’s the pic they included.   Not awful but the black Mets ball patch gets mygoat.

Oh…THEY posted it sideways, it’s not just me that

Wright has an Edge (link: The Apple)

My vote for blog of the year may go to The Apple.

This morning Randy has a David Wright version of the Jeter commercial and as part of my Honor Among Bloggers rule, you will have to click here to see it.

Don't drink and blog..nor buy jerseys

Oh crap…been sitting in the hot sun all day…cooler nearby….cleaning out inbox…bouncing around on the intertubes…a little “extra” money on Paypal and….oh no, I’m going to be in my own “You own this Mets jersey” series.

I’m starting to have a problem…I mean the Stars and Stripes jersey isn’t even here yet….and now my iPod is

Daily News on Booing David Wright

Filip Bondy refers to knuckleheads in the stands and says this about the booing of David Wright:

Is it possible that Met fans are so tired of losing, they can no longer appreciate the bright spot burning from within the toxic haze? Have these spectators at Citi Field become as jaded and dumb-numb as Knick fans

New York Mets baseball card week: 2010 David Wright

Over the weekend I opened up 2010 Topps Series 1 with Junior, and it really brought back the fun of collecting cards.

David Wright understands the mission

I probably should have written this about 16 hours ago but I have some other interests besides the Mets (“job” and “daddy”) but better late than never.

I’m thrilled that finally someone other than me understands the mission and I am thrilled that the person is the future captain David Wright.

At some point Wilponspeak made it

Will David Wright hit homers? (Big League Stew)

Wow back to back Big League Stew links.  BLS has an interesting article that answers the question, will David Wright hit home runs this year?  You may be semi-disappointed.

Meanwhile, to be truly disappointed, see what Buster Olney has tweeted about the Mets budget, via Amazin Avenue.

  • My new favorite Met: #13 Mike Nickeas

Again, the site is having major problems…hence the funkiness….what totally sucks was today was gonna be “work ahead” day.  Oh well.

While I try to recover ALL the posts (doh!!!!!!) I’ll continue typing over here in the orange box.

So why is Mike my favorite Met?  Because I love the number thirteen.

(Actually my favorite Met is future Hall of Famer Jon Niese.  I intended to post today about “Mets I like” - but not having a blog at all is sort of screwing with the plan for the day)

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 2, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of catcher Mike Nickeas from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.  To make room on the 40-man roster, the team transferred righthanded pitcher John Maine to the 60-Day Disabled List.  Nickeas will wear uniform #13 and will be available for tonight’s game in Atlanta.

Nickeas, 27, began the season at Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League, where he hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.  The 6-0, 210-pound Nickeas joined Buffalo in late August, playing in seven games and hitting .214 (6-28).

The native of Vancouver, Canada originally was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft before being traded to the Mets on August 30, 2006 for outfielder Victor Diaz.

Remember those other 7,000 posts from the last three years?   Media Goon is down in the basement retyping them.

Until he finishes,I will use the Tumblr as a workaround.

metspolice.tumblr.com or just stare right here and ignore that white space on the left.   Might be a while…
