Jose Reyes New York Mets Fashion Jersey

Man, that was some game last night.  That big play was…wow, I can’t describe it.  And what can be said about the pitching, man oh man.   That game is so inside my head that it’s as if I’m still out of town and wrote this last Saturday.

So as I pretend to be on my

Reyes: .313 at home and .161 on road

A nice thing the Mets have done is included me on the media distribution list so now I get official communications (much much appreciated) including the post game notes.

I imagine most folks will be focused on the shutouts – names live Seaver and Koosman involved in the only other series shutout and names

LoHud Mets blog suggests Reyes bat 7th or 8th

The LoHud Mets blog suggests the Mets bat Jose Reyes 7th or 8th until he gets rocking again. (He posted an 8 man lineup, so I don’t know where he wants the catcher)

That’s some aggressive pool there, and you have to factor in the managing of the humans involved.

However, Jose is off to a slow

Best Most Popular Ever: tons of pictures, uniform news and more (April 11 edition)

Good morning – looks like I accidentally fired off a rough draft of Tuesday’s big uniform article, a few early risers got to see it…fellas I want to save that one for Tuesday because it’s the day after an off-day and it will get more attention.  For those who saw it, it’s pretty interesting isn’t

Pictures of the return of Jose Reyes

reyestatis

I was lucky enough to score some field level seats today. I felt kind hearted and generous, so I took Shannon with me. It was a nice day at the park and Reyes got a good reception. There was less booing of the team today. Perez was looking pretty good. Reyes I think was trying

58 Pictures from today's Mets game (Reyes returns)

Media Goon (who is mad at me for not crediting him for taking the video in the Reyes post) hooked me up with some serious seats today. Behind the Mets dugout!

Razor Shines was cool and gave Junior a ball, so if you want to rag on Razor take it somewhere else.

Here’s a wonderful

Reyes-gate the next day: I'm numb

I don’t believe the story.

I try to keep the language clean on the blog but if I didn’t the first two words would be “I’m calling…”

I asked my contractor when my kitchen would be finished. He told me 2 to 8 weeks. I just let that slide right?

I ordered some stuff

Reyes out up to 8 weeks???!

I am presently speechless. Other sources will give you much better news recaps, but right now my brain has frozen. Rest up to 8 weeks? What?

Unfortunately looking forward to the apology from Amazin’ Avenue on Opening Day when the SS isn’t wearing #7. I still hope you guys turn out

Jose Reyes says one thing, Mets say another

Here we go again….Jose Reyes says he doesn’t have an overactive thyroid. The Mets of course had sent out a release saying he did.

Mike Silva has a nice spin on NY Baseball digest. Go read that while I get coffee and read more.

(Sigh, and I stayed up last night laying out two days of blog-posts.

Most popular on Mets Police (March 7th)

I think I will have some very cool Blue Cap Army news soon.  I’m in conversation with a new friend.  Stay tuned, and if you haven’t already – Sign up here.

This was a good discussion…a letter came in wondering how we (me and you I guess) could be big Mets fans when all we do

  • My new favorite Met: #13 Mike Nickeas

Again, the site is having major problems…hence the funkiness….what totally sucks was today was gonna be “work ahead” day.  Oh well.

While I try to recover ALL the posts (doh!!!!!!) I’ll continue typing over here in the orange box.

So why is Mike my favorite Met?  Because I love the number thirteen.

(Actually my favorite Met is future Hall of Famer Jon Niese.  I intended to post today about “Mets I like” - but not having a blog at all is sort of screwing with the plan for the day)

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 2, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of catcher Mike Nickeas from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.  To make room on the 40-man roster, the team transferred righthanded pitcher John Maine to the 60-Day Disabled List.  Nickeas will wear uniform #13 and will be available for tonight’s game in Atlanta.

Nickeas, 27, began the season at Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League, where he hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.  The 6-0, 210-pound Nickeas joined Buffalo in late August, playing in seven games and hitting .214 (6-28).

The native of Vancouver, Canada originally was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft before being traded to the Mets on August 30, 2006 for outfielder Victor Diaz.

  • The site at metspolice.com is experiencing technical problems.

Remember those other 7,000 posts from the last three years?   Media Goon is down in the basement retyping them.

Until he finishes,I will use the Tumblr as a workaround.

metspolice.tumblr.com or just stare right here and ignore that white space on the left.   Might be a while…
