K-Rod Jerseys Discounted - A Possible Sign?

Thanks to MetsMom for sending this picture over.  Spotted at the Mets Clubhouse Store in Roosevelt Field, K-Rod’s authentic jerseys have been marked down from $239.99 to only $99.99

It looks like it’s the 2009 white pinstripe version (though I don’t see the CitiField patch).  Still that is a huge drop in price coming on the

K-Rod May Have Been Arrested After Game for Assault

By:Media Goon

K-Rod May  have been arrested tonight after game.

This is what SNY is reporting. Frankie Rodriguez got mad at reporters and told them to get out of his way after the game when they wanted to ask him questions.

K-Rod was supposedly in an altercation with his father-in-law, who was taken away in ambulance after the

K-Rod: role should be to help Mets win games not 'close'

If you pop over to MetsBlog, Matt has posted the audio from Jerry’s post game conference.

As I managed from home last night, I wondered why K-Rod was sitting in the bullpen while the game melted down.

Jerry says, “that’s not what a closer does.  That’s not his role.”

Why?

I know that if you get out of the

  • My new favorite Met: #13 Mike Nickeas

Again, the site is having major problems…hence the funkiness….what totally sucks was today was gonna be “work ahead” day.  Oh well.

While I try to recover ALL the posts (doh!!!!!!) I’ll continue typing over here in the orange box.

So why is Mike my favorite Met?  Because I love the number thirteen.

(Actually my favorite Met is future Hall of Famer Jon Niese.  I intended to post today about “Mets I like” - but not having a blog at all is sort of screwing with the plan for the day)

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 2, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of catcher Mike Nickeas from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.  To make room on the 40-man roster, the team transferred righthanded pitcher John Maine to the 60-Day Disabled List.  Nickeas will wear uniform #13 and will be available for tonight’s game in Atlanta.

Nickeas, 27, began the season at Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League, where he hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.  The 6-0, 210-pound Nickeas joined Buffalo in late August, playing in seven games and hitting .214 (6-28).

The native of Vancouver, Canada originally was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft before being traded to the Mets on August 30, 2006 for outfielder Victor Diaz.

Remember those other 7,000 posts from the last three years?   Media Goon is down in the basement retyping them.

Until he finishes,I will use the Tumblr as a workaround.

metspolice.tumblr.com or just stare right here and ignore that white space on the left.   Might be a while…
