So I was thinking about FNYS.  Is it better than…..

Citi Field?  Nope.

Citizens Bank?  Nope.

Fenway?  Nope.

Wrigley?  Nope.

Camden?  Nope.

Dodger?

Mets vs. Yankees 6/19

Reyes hit two home runs for basically all the Mets scoring today. Pelfrey has a second straight game where he did not look sharp as he has in other games this year. The bullpen kept the Mets in the game and I actually felt they had a chance to come back.

I really do not have

Mets Police guide to Citi Field for Yankees fans

Hello Mr. Yankee Fan,

You will be a guest in Citi Field this weekend, so let me welcome you to the home of my favorite team.

Here are some tips so that you can maximize your enjoyment.

Where to meet: Look for a big red Apple.   Apple is Flushingese for “the bat.”  Tell your “boys” to meet

Mets cap trade this weekend

This weekend, the Mets are having one of their cap trades.   I think it’s something like bring a crappy cap and they’ll give you this one which apparently fell off a time machine from 1977.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one.  It’s somewhat blue which is good.  However, I don’t think it

Interesting spin on Home Run Derby/Subway Series

I’m not big into the world of collectables, and I have no motivation whatsoever for posting this other than I find it interesting and thought you might too.

Is selling your Subway Series tickets a sin?

I’m not going to the games this weekend.

Oh, I have tickets (multiple pairs actually) and I posted them all on Stubhub.

Is that wrong?

My experience has been that those games are best enjoyed on a big screen television after a nice day out in the sun.

Something about the subway games brings out the worst in Mets

Another Subway Series presale at 10am

If you are subscriber to the Flushing Flash (and if you’re not, why not – it’s free and gets you stuff like presale codes), there is a Subway Series presale at 10am.

As I have stated previously, I don’t think it’s cool to post pre-sale codes so I won’t.

The general sale is Thursday at 10am.

Subway Series ticket info (including presales)

Dan who writes here on Mets Police says there are two more pre-sales:

Monday, May 3rd for Mets Club members

Tuesday, May 4th for CitiCard holders

and the general public presale for whatever’s left is:

Thursday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Mets.com, LosMets.com and (718) 507-TIXX.

Fans can purchase a maximum of six tickets total for games at Citi

Subway Series ticket presales

As I did in the winter, I’m choosing to share information that pre-sales exist, but I won’t be posting codes.  I don’t think that’s cool to do (in a Fonzie way) as it hurts those who have earned the pre-sale and if the Mets wanted everyone to have a code they would post it on

MetsPolice.com is having tech problems.  Working on it.

  • My new favorite Met: #13 Mike Nickeas

Again, the site is having major problems…hence the funkiness….what totally sucks was today was gonna be “work ahead” day.  Oh well.

While I try to recover ALL the posts (doh!!!!!!) I’ll continue typing over here in the orange box.

So why is Mike my favorite Met?  Because I love the number thirteen.

(Actually my favorite Met is future Hall of Famer Jon Niese.  I intended to post today about “Mets I like” - but not having a blog at all is sort of screwing with the plan for the day)

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 2, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of catcher Mike Nickeas from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.  To make room on the 40-man roster, the team transferred righthanded pitcher John Maine to the 60-Day Disabled List.  Nickeas will wear uniform #13 and will be available for tonight’s game in Atlanta.

Nickeas, 27, began the season at Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League, where he hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.  The 6-0, 210-pound Nickeas joined Buffalo in late August, playing in seven games and hitting .214 (6-28).

The native of Vancouver, Canada originally was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft before being traded to the Mets on August 30, 2006 for outfielder Victor Diaz.

  • The site at metspolice.com is experiencing technical problems.

Remember those other 7,000 posts from the last three years?   Media Goon is down in the basement retyping them.

Until he finishes,I will use the Tumblr as a workaround.

metspolice.tumblr.com or just stare right here and ignore that white space on the left.   Might be a while…
