So I was thinking about FNYS.  Is it better than…..

Citi Field?  Nope.

Citizens Bank?  Nope.

Fenway?  Nope.

Wrigley?  Nope.

Camden?  Nope.

Dodger?

iPads welcome at Citi Field

Over the weekend I mentioned iPads are not welcome at Yankee Stadium. As you may know, the terrorists two chief weapons are iPads and bags.  And caps.

Three, three chief weapons: iPads, bags, and caps.  And suntan lotion.  Four, four weapons….

Meanwhile in a friendlier atmosphere:

“We not only welcome Yankee fans but we welcome them to bring

More ridiculous Yankee Stadium security: no iPads

Trying to get into Yankee Stadium is one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have.

Yankee Stadium security can be quite entertaining.  They make you remove your cap when you enter.  As you may have heard, baseball cap bombs are one of the major threats to our society.  I mean, why would anyone wear a

The New York City Stadium Museum Wars

Well, I don’t know if there is a war or not, but here’s how I rate the battle of Stadium Muesums.

2009:  Yankees better than Mets.   Of course the Mets didn’t have one.

2010:  Mets way way better than Yankees 2009.  To be fair I didn’t go in the museum during my only Fake Stadium appearance

A note from the Save Yankee Stadium Gate 2 folks

I was in favor of the efforts to save Yankee Stadium Gate 2.  This morning I found this email in my inbox:

Dear Gate 2 Supporters,

Here’s a note similar to what we’ve posted on our website:

Gate 2 at old Yankee Stadium was demolished on March 31, 2010.  On an overcast and cold day at 12:11 PM, four

Yet even more Yankee Stadium deconstruction pictures

Here’s one last set of Yankee Stadium photos, these were taken by my buddy.  He must have had his camera on super-setting which makes it a large file, which slows down the blog (yes I shrunk it) so I’ll just share the best and that should just about wrap it up for Yankee Stadium Demolition

Most Popular on Mets Police (March 28)

Wow what a week..and for those who are new to the free daily email subscriptions, some of these you may not have seen.

The big story was that a fanbrick was placed outside Citi Field that incorrectly listed Sid Fernandez as “earning the win.” The Mets have quickly removed the brick. Great job!

Here are some pictures

Here’s another set of Yankee Stadium demolition pictures, these are taken from Wednesday around 1pm.  Click on them for large views.  In the shots with the J.J. Abrams style lens flare (aka sun) notice the hole in the concrete.

14 Pictures of Yankee Stadium Demolition from today

I made a field trip to Yankee Stadium and took a lot of pictures.  I’m going to spread tehm out over the next few days since this is a Mets related blog, and pictures slow down the site.  However, I love all baseball and this was Yankee Stadium.

What struck me today is how Yankee Stadium

Photo of Yankee Stadium demolition from today

I went on a field trip and took a bunch of photos of Yankee Stadium (1976 version).  Unlike usual they came out OK.  I’ll post half tonight and then the rest on Friday.  Why the split you ask?  (1)  photos slow down the site and (2) I need to pre-write much of Friday because I

MetsPolice.com is having tech problems.  Working on it.

  • My new favorite Met: #13 Mike Nickeas

Again, the site is having major problems…hence the funkiness….what totally sucks was today was gonna be “work ahead” day.  Oh well.

While I try to recover ALL the posts (doh!!!!!!) I’ll continue typing over here in the orange box.

So why is Mike my favorite Met?  Because I love the number thirteen.

(Actually my favorite Met is future Hall of Famer Jon Niese.  I intended to post today about “Mets I like” - but not having a blog at all is sort of screwing with the plan for the day)

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 2, 2010 – The New York Mets today announced they selected the contract of catcher Mike Nickeas from Buffalo (AAA) of the International League.  To make room on the 40-man roster, the team transferred righthanded pitcher John Maine to the 60-Day Disabled List.  Nickeas will wear uniform #13 and will be available for tonight’s game in Atlanta.

Nickeas, 27, began the season at Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League, where he hit .283 (75-265) with five home runs and 33 RBI in 82 games.  The 6-0, 210-pound Nickeas joined Buffalo in late August, playing in seven games and hitting .214 (6-28).

The native of Vancouver, Canada originally was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft before being traded to the Mets on August 30, 2006 for outfielder Victor Diaz.

  • The site at metspolice.com is experiencing technical problems.

Remember those other 7,000 posts from the last three years?   Media Goon is down in the basement retyping them.

Until he finishes,I will use the Tumblr as a workaround.

metspolice.tumblr.com or just stare right here and ignore that white space on the left.   Might be a while…
