Star Wars Day at Citi Field- Moved To Bullpen Plaza

Hello Star Wars Fans-

Thank you for purchasing tickets to our 5th annual Star Wars Day. I wanted to personally e-mail you about the event, so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.

With your purchase of Mets tickets via www.Mets.com/StarWars, you will receive a voucher for a limited edition Juan (Lagares) Solo t-shirt. If you haven’t done so already, you will be able to pick up your tickets at any of our ticket kiosk machines located to the left of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda. A voucher will print with each ticket purchased through this special offer. You can then redeem your voucher at the Group Sales Redemption Booth on the Field Level behind Section 131. You must have your voucher in hand in order to receive your limited edition t-shirt.

We also encourage you to join us in the Bullpen Plaza located in right-centerfield, for a pregame Star Wars Costume Contest at 12:00 p.m. Note: The costume contest has now been relocated to the Bullpen Plaza. Come dressed up as your favorite Star Wars characters and enter the contest to have a chance to win some great Mets memorabilia prizes.

Members from the 501st Legion (a Lucasfilm sanctioned organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together Star Wars enthusiasts) will be in attendance throughout the ball park doing photo ops with our fans. Don’t miss out in a great opportunity to take some great pictures with characters like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Jedi Knights, Chewie, Mr. Met (aka Master Met) and many more beginning at noon in the Bullpen Plaza.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Star Wars Day this Sunday, August 16.

I look forward to seeing you.

May the force be with you!

For fans attending from out of state, make sure to check out the cheapest hotels in East Elmhurst for Saturday and Sunday.

Mets Rumors: 20 Game Ticket Plan Changes

fat tony

Seems like there won’t be just a 20 game weekend plans any more.
This season there was a 20 game A and a 20 Game B plan. I noticed on my invoice for renewal for the 2016 season that my weekend plan was now a Saturday plan…

I did some research and it seems the new plans are going to be a 20 game Saturday plan which would be about 13 Saturday games, 5 Friday games and 2 weekday games, one being Opening day.

The second plan all you have to do is swap out Saturday for Sunday and its the same thing except for Sunday.

They are also going to offer a 20 game Weekday Plan which is Monday-Thursday.

I didn’t hear anything about the pick a plans yet. And there is a possibility that the 40 game plans are going to become 41 game plans with one being a weekend plan and the other being a weekday plan.

This good? Bad? Ugly? I have no clue. But I did lock in my playoff seats and my seats for next season. I might even upgrade to 41 games from my 20… Who knows….

I just got my Post Season Invoice and my 2016 renewal invoice email. Here’s the prices I got for my ticket strip for the post season.

Field Reserved- $1099.00 a seat. Thats $2198 for two tickets plus a $25 handling fee. So that brings it up to $2223.00. Now of course any of the the games not played the remaining balance goes toward your 2016 renewal of your plan or you can seek a refund(see below how to ask for a refund). Also if their is a tie breaker game played at Citi Field, you will be charged extra for that game. Remember MLB sets the prices for the playoffs.
