The great Phil Mushnick wrote today about a guy he knows with season tickets. This is the first insight at all I know of into the price increases.

Phil says his friends tix for four seats will be going from 33,300 to $56,700. Some quick division shows that to be 70 percent more expensive

$56,700 divided by 81 is $700 a game. Yep thats the same number Mushnick got. 4 seats – so now we know there are some $175 seats in Citifield.
I’m tempted to speculate on upper deck. Even a $5 seat would become $8.50
I’ll concede I’m fast and loose with the numbers here, plenty of assumptions being made, etc etc – but I’m sensing an expensive 2009.
At least there are no personal seat licenses. I think. Hope.

Where are your friends seats, Officer? That sounds about right to me — but yeesh 56,700 for 4 seats…that’s 14,000 for 81 games!!! are they like right behind the dugout or something? I already kind of know that my current seats in mezzanine will be more like the lower level of the upper deck at citifield — or maybe even the upper upper deck.
My seats are cheapies. The $14,000 seats were a friend of Phil Mushnick’s.

My seats are in the upper deck section 2 – still no word from the Mets about $. An associate of mine has 4 Yankees tix in a great location. This year – $250/seat = $81,000 for the season. Next year similar location is $650/seat! $210,600 for the season!!! Hey George, what about the little guy?

Four seats behind the dugout i heard from a very good source are going to be $150,000.
I have a friend who has 6 seats loge behind home, now pays about 36000 for comprable seats they want over 80000 I have 2 seats section 168 pay about 9500 if the more than double it I cant afford that, and the reason Ive had season tiks last 3 years is for new stadium
