I love that they sent this out, but they just need to simplify. One hat – blue. One road uniform – traditional grey. I am a fan of the snow white home, so I would give them the option of having that and the pinstripe in whatever proportion they want. But most importantly NO BLACK ANYWHERE, including all of the shading on both the home and road jerseys. That’s it. All of those other goofy options should not be on the table.
As I’ve said before, they can sell all of that garbage in the stores but just don’t wear it on the field. People will buy it plenty.

Hopefully our fans that were asked did the right thing let the Mets know that black is not a Mets color … Blue hats ONLY, traditional Mets pinstripes …. get rid of that black shading behind the letters .. on the road, the greys are fine, but I would love to see the old greys without any black shading … … also, can we paint the outfield wall blue please?

The White unis with the blue pinstripe (not black) should def. be the main home jersey not just for Sunday games. The snow whites at home or ok, at least they aint wearing those God awful white caps wit the blue bills at home that they tried that one season. The all black homes don’t work at all. As far as away jerseys are concerned, I don’t understand why the mets used the black homes in yesterdays game in SF. The aways should be the greys with the blue caps. Someone mentioned that Delgado’s 9 rbi game was the last time they used it. the only reason Samuels chose them was because it was the last Met game at yankee Stadium in honor of tradition. Chrlie Samuels don’t like the home pinstripes or the away greys with blue. As a fan I say bye with the black (selling or not). Stick to the traditionary unis.

PLEASE DITCH THE BLACK! Orange and Blue. Period. Even Citi Field looks classier when the Mets are in their pinstripes and blue caps.

Hey Mets Poice, why not get a more organized effort out there to ditch the black. Why not start a website and petition dedicated to boycotting the black, where fans sign and promise not to buy any black Mets merchandise. (I don’t care if fans wear it, I care if the team wears it)
Let’s start acting like we’re a storied franchise, with timeless classic uniforms like the Giants, Dodgers, and Yankees.
And let’s stop acting like we’re an expansion team desperate to sell jerseys in anyway we can (I’m looking at you, Florida and Arizona)
The Mets are no longer New York’s second rate team, let’s stop acting like it.
