Catching up on some photos I took last month out at Citi Field.
Some Mets Police 101: Who can tell me why I don’t like the logo for the Mets team store? There are at least three things wrong with it.
While I concede that the flag made of hats looks nice (although I saw the Cubs version last week so it must be MLB-wide)….
…there’s really no reason to wear a white on white Mets cap. Maybe this is what Mets wear in the afterlife?
Here’s a clever use of alt-merch without offending my senses with the use of black. No that’s not a Mets blue, but at least it is blue.
I wouldn’t roll my eyes at you if you wore this, unless you were actually on the 25 man roster.
Finally, here’s a little something for Mrs. Mets Police to wear to the beach while listening to Howie Rose on the ol’ transistor radio. Well, neither of those things are going to happen but maybe your girlfriend will try this on.

I'm going in to check this place out for the first time on Thursday morning.
the script in the Mets logo is angled wrong and has black in it (but it does go with the signage at the ballpark, which i generally like). I don't see a 3rd thing wrong with it since the bats that cover the bridge aren't technically "wrong". what do I win?
the white hats are good to wear if you're going to or playing in Wimbledon (where the players have an all-white dress code).
remember that the team store is the place to have all that freaky stuff like t-shirts that are off-model and Wright Brooklyn Dodgers jerseys (just making that one up, I hope), etc.
That logo would make me vomit if I had to look at it in person. So I guess I WON'T be going to the team store any year soon.
The script is angled wrong, the colors are ALL wrong, and there's no bridge in the foreground. It's a disgrace.
P.S. I posted a lot of anonymous comments here lately at Mets Police, so I decided to dust off my old blogger ID and use it to post instead.
