Two things caught my eye in today’s mlb.com email (if you want to get lots and lots and lots of emails, sign up for their mailing list.) This is kind of cool, especially if you like accuracy and are a Highlanders fan, and choose to ignore that pesky time the franchise spent as the Baltimore Orioles in 1901-02….but sure, the Yankees were established in 1903 why not.
Then this caught my eye….being black and orange and in the same email as the 1903 Highlanders hoodie, I thought maybe perhaps it was related to the New York Giants. However, it’s just more Charlie-Samuels wear.

I'm with you that the Mets should be rocking their traditional orange and blue on the field. Tradition belongs on the baseball field.
But, in my daily clothing wear, I don't have much interest in bright blue and orange clothing. At least the Yankees have dark blue… we have bright blue. I mean come on… does anyone look good in bright orange?
Heck, this is NYC… we wear black! So, I'm ok with the alternate black clothing lines for us fans while still completely agreeing that the actual NY Mets should be wearing the traditional colors.
