Hugo from the PR Agency sent this over…seems kind of cool if you’re heading down to Port St. Lucie
Dear New York Mets blogger:
In fewer than 100 days, Spring Training begins. We hope that you have a chance to see the Mets play and to visit the Baseball Collection at the Elliott Museum.
The museum has artifacts dating back more than 100 years, including signed player cards from almost every Hall of Famer, baseballs, bats, contracts and correspondence. The attached picture shows just one of our card displays. Because of its breadth, the collection is one of the largest outside Cooperstown and has items on every Major League team past and present.
The Baseball Collection is one of the undiscovered baseball treasures in Florida. Your readers who are attending Spring Training would enjoy spending several hours before a game at the Elliott learning more about the sport and its players. Those who cannot get to the games would likely appreciate how their favorite players are remembered at what has become Florida’s baseball museum.
The Elliott Museum is in Stuart, between Roger Dean Stadium (home of the Cardinals and Marlins) and Tradition Field.
Have a good winter and we hope to see you in two months.
Regards,
Hugo

For those who'll be staying a bit closer to NYC, if you've never seen it, you have to check out the collection of baseball cards at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Really, I'm not kidding.
They've got a display of a couple of dozen old cards, including Tinker, Evers, and Chance.
