Hey Shannon – NY Times is reporting that the amount was $25 million. Further in the article they state that the Mets have more than $400 million in debt on the team and have exhausted MLB’s standard bank line of credit of $75 million (that every team can access). That’s $500 million – going to make finding a minority partner that much more difficult I am sure
Wow. When is this mess gonna end? Thank God for 86 and Mike Piazza.
They borrowed a hell of a lot more from the taxpayers for an overpriced field and their fans for an overpriced product.
