Charliegate: Cops found a bunch of 86 Mets uniforms

Not sure where this one is going, but I have a bad feeling about this.

..cops seized hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of autographed player jerseys and other memorabilia from the ’86 team that Samuels had placed in a Port St. Lucie storage facility.

“It was mainly uniforms,” one source close to the probe told The News Saturday. “They’re all signed and worth a fortune.”

  1. Whenever I see a bad headline about Charlie Samuels, I just pretend it says “Charlie Manuel” and then I feel a lot better.

  2. I love how people always assume memorabilia is worth a fortune. You’d be surprised how little a lot of that stuff sells for.
