Or you could buy it for yourself for less than the cost of a Mets jersey. And you’ll look very Mr. Rogers-esque.
Michael I cannot argue with your logic.
Hey Spring – can we warm up a little….you are wasting the days on which I can wear my spring blue Mets jacket. i didn’t even get to wear my fall blue heavier Mets jacket because the season ended in August and then it went straight from hot to freezing.
Shannon, thanks for the image. This is one excellent example of a baseball classic look. Really like the circa 1910 look. I need to see into getting myself one and then sporting it to my next game at Citi.
I may buy one.
That brings up a question. How does the Mets Cooperstown Collection make any money when by definition there’s no black in it?
I don’t understand Dave Howard’s logic. Even if they’re selling oodles of black merchandise–which I don’t doubt–does the team think they wouldn’t sell the same stuff if it were blue instead? Even if so, does that mean you have to dress the team in it? Mets stuff is available in all colors of the rainbow and in styles in which the team has never taken the field. They didn’t have to put the team in pink caps before they signed off on selling pink women’s caps. Right now, I’m waiting on the arrival of a grey 3930 cap I just purchased. Why did they allow me to buy it if the team’s never appeared in it? Apparently, that’s the rule.
My goodness, that looks INCREDIBLE. I really, really, really want it.
