Quick hits from today’s press notes:
Richard Hildago holds the team record by homering 5 games in a row. Who? 2004.
The Mets are 12-19 on Easter.
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

saw that stat yesterday and had the same reaction…i thought at first it was something like a “most consecutive games with a home run for their team” and the astros were going to be hidalgo’s team, not the mets — then i saw the names (straw, kingman, etc.) and figured they were talking about the mets
without checking, is it mattingly or griffey who has the all time consecutive games record? something like 8?
ike has a long way to go, doesn’t he
i’m surprised more fans didn’t remember this since 3 of them came during a yankee series at Shea in which the Mets won all three games. Pretty sure they wore the blue caps for a couple of those games also.
